In recent days, Mauritian jockeys abroad have been proving their worth, with Ashvin Goindasamy undoubtedly the star of the show.

In action at the Auckland Racing Club in Ellerslie - New Zealand on Boxing Day, Ashvin Goindasamy scored his first Group 1 win, as he took out the Cambridge Stud Zabeel Classic on board Tiptronic. Two days later at Arawa Park, he won the opening race, courtesy of Bigiff.

Also victorious on Boxing Day were the duo of Kavish Chowdhoory (Seikrid - race 2) and Gosen Jogoo (Hey Mickey - race 3), who were both in action at Wingatui - New Zealand, while Keshaw Dhurun won board Kia Ora Star in the 6th race at Albany - Australia.

Kavish Chowdhoory would strike again on Tuesday, as he took out the 5th race on board Elizabeth Rose at Phar Lap - New Zealand.
