Because of The General Elections the entries for the 7th race meeting have been made official yesterday afternoon and the barrier draw took place this morning.

In all, 90 entries have been received by The Mauritius Turf Club and 14 of them in the feature race, The Hassen Taher Challenge Cup, a 1400m race.

Jet Force has drawn barrier 1, Cape Rainbow barrier 9. Pablo, who won convincingly at his last start, will break from barrier 11.

In that race Burberry will be burdened with the top weight. He will start from barrier 6 and his stable-mates, Gamekeeper and Anti Freeze have drawn barrier 4 and 12 respectively.
Mahess Ramdin has entered two horses: Wolf Speed (barrier 1) and Bright Stone (barrier 14).Vincent Allet has equally entered two horses: Winter Weather (barrier 5) and Salt Lake City (barrier 13).

The Maingard Stable who last Sunday won two races with Grobanite and Mighty Fine, will rely on Capitaine (barrier 7) who won at his first 2010 race in Mauritius.

The Hughes Maigrot Stable has entered American Emblem in two races; the feature race, where he drew barrier 8 and the third race.

Besides Wolf Speed and Winter Weather, two other horses will make their come-back, namely Cape Gold and Naughty Prince. Cape Gold, from The Alain Perdrau Stable, has drawn a good barrier (2) whereas Naughty Prince from the Rameshwar Gujadhur has not been as lucky and will break from barrier 10.  The scratchings will be official tomorrow morning.
