Il Saggiatore’s off fore tendon was swollen following his participation to The Maiden Cup. In all likelihood, this was caused by a blow that the horse received during the said race.

Initially, we had feared the worst for the crack of Gujadhur Stable, but a subsequent scan proved more reassuring : no lesion was detected.

Regardless, Il Saggiatore has been subjected to an anti-inflammatory treatment and is due to observe a two weeks’ rest. He is currently at the private centre of the Gujadhur family in Curepipe.
