As it was the case last week, the punters have been very active in the market. However, in the main race, “The GHF group Mauritius Derby”, only Bayard has been backed, but the odds of Ice Axe, who won in record time, is unchanged and remains the hot favourite at 8/11

In race 1, two horses, namely Imperial City and Rock The Town have been backed. The odds of the former has been shortened to 9/5 while that of the second is now at 15/1. They were respectively offered at 3/1 and 39/1 at the opening of bets. Among other runners that have been heavily supported, mention should be made of Pageantry (race 7), Anti Freze and Mdansi (race 8).

It is also to be noted that there has been a slump in the odds of last-time winners Sunday Monday (race 3), Bali Mojo (race 7) and Addition (race 8).
