Though in an upper class, Bobby Bear is the favourite of the main race

It seems to be the same story week in week out lately. Once again, the punters have not been active in the market. With the exception of Race 1 and 8, where three horses have been backed, only two have caught their attention. In the main race, “The Anglo-Mauritius Golden Jubilee Cup”, though Bobby Bear will be competing in an upper class, he is the favourite. Offered initially at 7/3, he is now available at 6/4. In this race, there has been a drift in the odds of last-time winner Captain’s Cheer.

In Race 1, two of the three new horses, namely Double Grip and Even Chance have been backed. The odds of the latter have been slashed from 13/1 to 13/2. In Race 8, Highland Jet who is yet to score his first win here has been supported with some confidence. Starting at 29/1, his odds is now at 15/1.

It is also to be noted that there have been drifts in the odds of last-time winners Lord Googol, Al Masri (R 3); and Bali Mojo, Salvador Dali (R 8).
