Our compatriot Karis Teetan had a bad fall yesterday whilst riding the Joey Ramsden-trained Floral Princess in the 3rd race, «The International Soccer 6 Maiden Plate». in Durbanville, Cape Town.
Floral Princess fell down 100 metres from the winning post. Karis Teetan said: « I was unconscious for about 30 minutes. I don’t remember anything. So I can’t tell you what happened exactly and the horse fell? Fortunately, it wasn’t that bad, that serious. I injured my shoulders and will be out of action for about three weeks .»
As he won’t be riding, Karis Teetan has decided to come and spend the three coming weeks in Mauritius. He is expected tomorrow afternoon.
