Super Storm, the crack of Merven Stable, will not run the Barbé Cup, the second classic of the season, scheduled for this Saturday over 1600 metres. This decision was taken this morning by trainer Patrick Merven who told us that the horse is suffering from an early stage of fever.

Explaining his decision, Mr Merven said : “This is a race in which we wanted to participate but, unfortunately, we will not be able to do so. Super Storm is an excellent horse, and for his own good, we have decided not to run him in the Barbé. Bad luck for us and for those who were looking forward to him in this race.”

Moreover, we are still in the dark concerning the representatives of Gujadhur Stable. If we are assured that Il Saggiatore will be running, we still do not know who of Senor Versace, Solar Symbol, Modern Monet and Exclaim ‘N’ Exclude will also be running in the big race.
