Super Storm on track for the first time

Over a hundred horses trot and canter lightly. All foreign jockeys are present this morning, and training takes place in fine weather.

Next Saturday’s main race, over 1600m, is restricted to horses rated between 45 and 61. Among the prospective runners, those on the track this morning are Saubestre, Prince of Troy, Tigger, Strike Again, Eagle Squadron, Victor Club, Legal Maxim, and Teamog Flaminglight.

Two horses do not go unnoticed this morning as they are at their first appearance in Port Louis. They are Super Storm (Merven - rating: 74), a 5-year-old chestnut gelding who has participated in the July Handicap and the J & B Met, and Master Mascus (Maingard - rating: 54), a 3-year-old gelding who has won three times in nine outings.

Note that barrier trials will take place on the grass track tomorrow morning between 6:15 and 7:00.
