It is now official. French jockey Gaëtan Faucon is set to ride for Ricky Maingard Stable this season after the latter’s request has been approved by the Mauritius Turf Club.

As for Patrick Merven, Hugues Maigrot, Paul Foo Kune and Raj Ramdin Stables, their requests to sign Cédric Ségéon, Matthys Odendaal, Michael Cahill and Mark Neisius respectively will shortly be considered.

Apart from Gaëtan Faucon, all the jockeys mentionned above were in action at the Champ de Mars last year. While Patrick Merven, Paul Foo Kune and Raj Ramdin Stables have decided to stick to their riders, namely Cédric Ségéon, Michael Cahill and Mark Neisius, trainer Hugues Maigrot has decided to call upon Matthys Odendaal, who concluded last season as Maingard Stable’s retained jockey.
