The appeal of apprentice Ram Meetoo concerning his five-week and seven-week suspension following his ride on Powder Snow at the 33rd meeting was heard yesterday.

The Appeal Board has decided that both sanctions should be served concurrently, which means that the suspension of apprentice Meetoo will be 7 weeks long, not 12 weeks. The fine of Rs 50, 000 which had been imposed  on him has been maintained.
