Moreira was fined HK$255,000 ($A42,470) for causing interference in race 10 aboard beaten favourite Master Albert - a record for a careless riding charge.

Moreira pleaded guilty to allowing Master Albert to "shift in sharply" passing the 1000m mark of the Riding High Together Handicap over 1200m and cause Super Lucky to be checked.

It could have been worse for Moreira as Stewards allocated the hefty fine in lieu of a three-day riding suspension.

Moreira is currently one win short of his record 168 winner total for a Hong Kong season, with three meetings remaining.

Chad Schofield rode a double to take him to 29 wins for a season punctuated by three lengthy careless riding suspensions.

Matthew Poon Ming-fai, who rode in Adelaide for several months last season, rode his 20th winner aboard Hard Ball Get to lose his 10-pound claim.
