Sunday racing at Aqueduct was canceled at 9 a.m. due to high winds in the New York area.
The AccuWeather forecast for South Ozone Park, Queens, called for winds at close to 30 miles per hour and gusts up to 50. Rain and drizzle were possible.
Temperatures were expected to be in the mid to high 50s.
An hour prior to the cancellation, it was announced that the day's turf races would be moved to the main track following Saturday-night rain.
The $125,000 Thunder Rumble division of the New York Stallion Stakes has been rescheduled for a week from Wednesday, Nov. 29.
